The Gap fits the bill if you're looking for somewhere to live that's not too far from the city but at the same time still has the option for peace and quiet and the green and leafy. With great public transport options nearby, it's easy to get around. A multitude of post-war houses retain the facade but hide recent renovations. Plenty of solid brick 1970s, 80s and more recently constructed houses are located here also. New, modern townhouses are starting to spring up, as well as contemporary apartment buildings, with more slated for development. For getting around, The Gap is served by regular buses and bike paths. There are also several primary schools in the area and one high school which is drawing many new residents to the area because of its reputation.
